On Thursday, January 23rd, 2025, to support Emory Healthcare, shuttles and parking decks will resume regular operation on the Atlanta campus. Anticipate potential shuttle delays and service changes due to road conditions. 

The Oxford-Atlanta shuttle will not operate on Thursday, January 23rd.

The in-person service counter will be closed, however, staff are working remotely.

4:45 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025

Due to road conditions, SafeRide will not operate as an on-demand service Wednesday, January 22nd during the evening & overnight. 

The C route will replace SafeRide and operate continuous service with 1 unit overnight.

8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025

Parking:

The permit entry gates at the following locations will be raised on Wednesday, January 22, 2025:

Lowergate East permit parking will remain in regular operation. Access to Lowergate East for all Emory Healthcare permit holders begins at 2:15pm.

Emory Healthcare visitor parking areas are not available for permit holders. Some rooftop parking areas may be closed.

 

Shuttles:

 Only the following fixed shuttle routes will operate on Wednesday, January 22, 2025

  • C Route (Starvine Parking Deck): Service begins at 5:00 a.m.

Additional shuttle service will resume when road conditions allow.

6:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025

Shuttle routes will operate on the following schedule on Tuesday, January 21st as long as road conditions allow.

C Route: Service until 12:00 a.m. (midnight)

D Express Route: Service until 8:00 p.m.

E Route: Service until 8:00 p.m.

Loop Route: Service until 8:00 p.m.

SafeRide will not operate on Tuesday evening or overnight.

Due to road conditions, the CCTMA shuttle is suspending service at 4:30 p.m on Tuesday January 21st.

"Emory University campuses, including Oxford College, will move to remote operations on Tuesday, Jan. 21, because of hazardous weather conditions and dangerously cold temperatures. 

  • Students with in-person classes scheduled for Tuesday should contact their professors to learn if the classes will move online. 
  • University employees should plan on working remotely. 
  • Essential personnel should contact their supervisors for guidance.
  • Emory Healthcare employees should refer to communications from EHC for information.

An unseasonably cold airmass will settle in across the area by early Monday morning, January 20th. This airmass will be supportive of dozens of consecutive hours with temperatures below freezing through Wednesday, January 22nd. In preparation for expected Winter weather:
