MARTA NextGen Route Changes

"In the largest and most comprehensive redesign since the 1970s, MARTA is overhauling its bus network to improve service through creating a Smarter, Faster, and Better network for the Atlanta region – the NextGen Bus Network.  The new network was shaped by the vision of MARTA’s Board of Directors with guidance and input from our customers, jurisdictional partners, and members of the public to reflect the changing nature of the Atlanta region."   --from MARTA

Beginning Saturday April 18 MARTA's NextGen Bus Network will launch and service to Emory's Atlanta campus will be as follows:

  • Routes 6 and 36 will be retired
  • Route 11 will connect CHOA and Midtown Station via Clifton Road
  • Route 15 will connect Lindbergh Station to Decatur and South DeKalb Mall via Clifton Road 
  • Route 17 will connect Lenox Station to Avondale Station via Clairmont Road.
