Public Transit at Emory
Emory supports public transportation in the Metro Atlanta area and encourages faculty, staff and students to take advantage of public transit to access Emory's campuses. Emory provides a variety of incentives for those who qualify and choose public transit to meet their transportation needs.
Public Transit Options
Several public transit systems serve the Metro Atlanta area. Routes and schedules vary for each system, so please visit the following websites for more specific information:
Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA)
MARTA provides an extensive bus and rail system to meet the transportation needs of the Atlanta region. Emory routes include:
- #6 Route connects MARTA's Lindbergh and Inman Park stations via the Clifton Corridor and Emory, and also serves Emory's Briarcliff campus
- #19 Route connects MARTA's Brookhaven and Decatur stations via Clairmont Road and Emory's Clairmont Campus
- #36 route connects MARTA's Arts Center and Avondale stations via N. Decatur Road
Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA)
Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) operates across county lines to provide transportation in Metro Atlanta.

Cobb County Transit (CCT)
Cobb County Transit (CCT) provides transit services from Cobb County to several MARTA stations, including Five Points, Arts Center, Midtown, and HE Holmes during peak hours. Not all CCT routes serve MARTA stations, so visit the CCT website for specific route information and schedules. CCT also provides public transportation services within Cobb County.

Gwinnett County Transit (GCT)
Gwinnett County Transit (GCT) provides express transit services from Gwinnett County to several MARTA stations including Five Points, Arts Center, Midtown, and HE Holmes during peak hours. Not all GCT routes serve MARTA stations, so visit the GCT website for specific route information and schedules. GCT also provides public transportation services within Gwinnett County.

Emory Transportation & Parking Services (TPS)
Emory's Transportation and Parking Services office (TPS) is also available to help navigate routes and schedules and determine public transportation options for commuters. TPS also operates Cliff shuttles, which are designed to connect commuters to other systems as well as circulate passengers around and between campuses.
