Guaranteed Ride Home
Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) service is provided directly through the Atlanta Regional Commission's My Ride Smart program.
This commute program provides commuters who carpool, vanpool, walk, bike or take transit to work with up to five free taxi rides home from work annually if one of the following unexpected situations arises:
- A serious problem occurs at the school or daycare center of the commuter's child
- An immediate family member has an emergency and the commuter is unable to wait for their regular ride home
- The commuter has to work mandatory, unscheduled overtime
- The commuter's home or property is damaged by burglary, fire, etc.
- The commuter becomes sick at work and is unable to wait for their regular ride home
- The commuter's carpool/vanpool driver has to leave work early because of an unexpected situation or must work unscheduled overtime and the commuter has no other way to get home
Eligibility
All registered Emory Commute Options participants are eligible for the Atlanta Regional Commission's (ARC) GRH Program. Review registration, update personal information and find GRH numbers at https://www.myridesmart.com, or call 1-87-Ridefind.
Please be aware that ARC only provides five free rides, and commuters will be billed for any occurrences after the fifth ride.
