Student Parking & Commute Options

Emory encourages its students to explore all transportation options for travel to campus before registering to park on campus. The cost savings — several hundred dollars — are significant.

For students living off campus, there are several commute options available:

Student Commute Options
Carpooling	Two or more registered Emory students can share the cost of the $654 parking permit
Public transit	Purchase a MARTA U-Pass from the DUC for only $40/month and use it anytime
Cliff shuttles	free commuter routes: CCTMA Executive Park North DeKalb Mall Park-and-Ride South DeKalb Mall Park-and-Ride
Bike / Walk / Drop Off	Receive an Occasional Use parking pass for days when the weather won't cooperate

If you are not sure of next year's schedule yet, it is best to go ahead and register early for parking for next year. You can always sign up for a commute option later...

NEW INCOMING STUDENTS. First-year graduate and Transfer students who do not yet have an Emory network ID and password may register online beginning May 18. All information requested must be provided.

STUDY ABROAD STUDENTS. Students studying abroad either Fall or Spring semester of the 2009-2010 Academic Year should register for parking for next year. If abroad first semester, we will hold your permit until January and will charge 50% at time of pick up. If abroad the second semester, simply return your permit at the end of the first semester for a 50% refund.
