Cliff Permit

Participants of Emory's Alternative Transportation Programs (Bike, Carpool, MARTA, Vanpool, and Walk) may also register for a special Cliff Permit. Cliff Permits allow employees to park in a designated parking deck*, 24 days, when it is necessary to drive separately to work.You may purchase additional Cliff Permit swipes for $75 (for an additional 20 daily uses at $3.75 per day). Participants must bring their Cliff Permit to the Parking Office to make additional purchases.

*Cliff Permits for participants of the Bike, MARTA, Vanpool, and Walk programs will only be issued for either the Clairmont Campus Deck or Peavine Deck. Participants of the carpool program may be assigned to their current deck (except Lowergate).


How to Apply

• Employees must complete the appropriate application form. Forms are available at the office of Transportation Services, Clairmont Campus Deck; the Parking Office, Lowergate Deck; and at Human Resources, 1599 Clifton Rd.
• Employees must submit a copy of their vehicle registration and their valid driver's license to receive a Cliff Permit.
• Employees must turn in their Emory hangtags before receiving a special Cliff Permit.

Once all of the above information has been submitted to the Parking Office, the registrant will be notified within five (5) business days if their application is/is not approved. Once the application is approved, the registrant will turn in their current parking hangtag(s) and pick up their special Cliff Permit at the Parking Office.

Students Only

Registered student carpool participants and eligible vanpool participants may register for a Cliff Permit. Student's Cliff Permits are good for twelve (12) daily uses per semester at a designated deck only.

NOTE: If you have registered for a Cliff permit to park in a designated deck, visitor parking areas and street parking are not allowed.
